3/20/08-- Tucker's first check up with the Holistic Veterinarian Jody Kincaid at Anthony Animal Clinic.
Dr. Kincaid found a weak pulse in Tuckers kidney and liver. Tucker is also severely allergic to grain and needs to be kept on a food that does not have grains ( Thank Goodness we already are on that kind of Food...phew!!!). Next, he finds that Tuckers pain in his spine is at a 10 ( 1 being the least and 10 being the worst).. He also finds that Tucker has pain almost all over he is not feeling well anywhere unfortunately. The Dr decides that the best treatment for Tucker for now is Acupuncture and quite a few supplements, and a couple shots one being a special oil and the other being B-12 in his hind leg joints. All this is to stimulate his muscles and blood flow. Then he heated the acupuncture needles with a motza herb stick very slowly and not to a point it would hurt just enough to help relax the muscles which it did. As they heated his sever points he laid down and began to relax. He no longer was restless and nervous but relaxed. It was amazing to see him feel so much better. We came home after the appointment and Tucker was a bit sore so he went inside and took a nap. After resting for about 4 hours Tucker was ready to ROCK AND ROLL and he was wanting to go to the farm and run with the kids again with no limp and no noticeable pain. He finally looks happy. As we went to bed he laid in his dog bed for the first time and began snoring before the rest of us could. :)
As long as we can keep up with his therapy which runs 279.00 a treatment :(
Tucker will find the help he needs.
4/1/08-- Tuckers second Vet visit. We decide to be more aggressive with the treatments since we did see a huge change in his pain. We tried Electric acupuncture to see if that would help we also picked up more Tramadol for the bad days. He did still receive his injections and he seems to be out of pain. Visit cost $146.50. We received a discount!!!! Yeah
5/5/08-- 3rd vet visit he is doing so well. We are able to see that his back is getting stronger so we decided to do regular acupuncture and spare him having to get gassed. He was a big baby and whined but seems to be feeling much better. We shall see how long we can get it to last. :) $122.50-- Yeah another Discount!!!
6/10/08-- 4th vet visit and we are doing well just s bit sore. Tucker is just learning to keep the quick whipping when herding others to a minimum so we do not have a problem with his back. Currently he is doing great. $100.00--- Yeah another discount I am so happy we are on the road to success!!!
