Tucker is a sweet boy that is only 5yrs old but has been diagnosed with Inter vertibral disc disease ( IVDD).  Tucker needs extensive treatment to keep him healthy and happy which is is most all of the time.  Tucker loves to play, go for car rides, relax and go on long walks.  Unfortunately, due to our limited rescue funds we are asking all of you for help to get the treatment that Tucker will need thru out his life. We know that this is a lot to ask but Tucker is well worth it. Tucker needs a house with no stairs and that is willing to take him in for holistic treatments and keep him on all his supplements and the right food as he has severe food allergies. He does ok with some dogs as long as they do not jump on him or argue with him. Tucker is the sweetest boy ever and loves to give kisses and is so wonderful to be around.  Please consider either taking Tucker into your home to give him the best home that he needs or to Donate to help keep up his health care. We love to have you help and will keep you update on his care and progress as we go along. Follow below the picture to check the updates by date.
3/20/08-- Tucker's first check up with the Holistic Veterinarian Jody Kincaid at Anthony Animal Clinic.

Dr. Kincaid found a weak pulse in Tuckers kidney and liver.  Tucker is also severely allergic to grain and needs to be kept on a food that does not have grains ( Thank Goodness we already are on that kind of Food...phew!!!). Next, he finds that Tuckers pain in his spine is at a 10 ( 1 being the least and 10 being the worst).. He also finds that Tucker has pain almost all over he is not feeling well anywhere unfortunately.  The Dr decides that the best treatment for Tucker for now is Acupuncture and quite a few supplements, and a couple shots one being a special oil and the other being B-12 in his hind leg joints. All this is to stimulate his muscles and blood flow.  Then he  heated the acupuncture needles with a motza herb stick very slowly and not to a point it would hurt just enough to help relax the muscles which it did.  As they heated his sever points he laid down and began to relax.  He no longer was restless and nervous but relaxed. It was amazing to see him feel so much better. We came home after the appointment and Tucker was a bit sore so he went inside and took a nap.  After resting for about 4 hours Tucker was ready to ROCK AND ROLL and he was wanting to go to the farm and run with the kids again with no limp and no noticeable pain. He finally looks happy.  As we went to bed he laid in his dog bed for the first time and began snoring before the rest of us could. :)
As long as we can keep up with his therapy which runs 279.00 a treatment :(
Tucker will find the help he needs.

4/1/08-- Tuckers second Vet visit.  We decide to be more aggressive with the treatments  since we did see a huge change in his pain. We tried Electric acupuncture to see if that would help we also picked up more Tramadol for the bad days. He did still receive his injections and he seems to be out of pain.   Visit cost  $146.50.  We received a discount!!!!   Yeah

5/5/08-- 3rd vet visit he is doing so well. We are able to see that his back is getting stronger so we decided to do regular acupuncture and spare him having to get gassed. He was a big baby and whined but seems to be feeling much better. We shall see how long we can get it to last. :)   $122.50-- Yeah another Discount!!!

6/10/08-- 4th vet visit and we are doing well just s bit sore. Tucker is just learning to keep the quick whipping when herding others to a minimum so we do not have a problem with his back.  Currently he is doing great.   $100.00--- Yeah another discount I am so happy we are on the road to success!!!
