HERDING

Corgis are natural herding dogs some have a stronger drive than others. You can even see this drive as a young pup.

With all of this herding instinct comes a bunch of bad habits such as nipping, barking, and chasing things they should not do.

We do not recommend children and corgis be in a home together. Corgis tend to be nippers so when a child runs and squeals just being a child runs the corgis drive is excited and they begin to see the child as stock and not as a person and will nip even hard enough to break the skin. They become very excited easily leading to barking and other less desireable traits.
